The nights that are gone
One house, so a night is either free or it is not. Struck-through nights are taken; the reason is on the night if you hover it. We update this the hour a booking is confirmed, and we have never held a date for someone who had not paid.

The bands
What a night costs, and the shortest stay we take
Nine bands across the year. The weekend column is what a Friday or a Saturday night adds outside the summer weeks, when the rate is flat and the week is fixed.

None of those figures is what you pay. Add the cleaning at $165, the dogs if you bring them, and the Virginia sales tax 6% and Richmond lodging tax 8% on the lot. The sheet on the home page does that arithmetic for your own dates.

Paying
The rest, thirty days before
The balance is due thirty days before you arrive, on the card or by bank transfer, and the Virginia sales tax 6% and Richmond lodging tax 8% sits on the invoice as its own line.
The deposit
$400, authorised not taken
Held against damage on the day you arrive, released the day after you leave. Four times in twelve years we have kept part of it, with the photograph and the repair invoice sent.
Cancelling
Sixty days is the line
Outside sixty days you get everything back except $75 and the card fees. Inside it, we keep the holding third unless we let the dates again, and if we do we refund it.
