Two single beds with a nightstand between them; push them together and they make a king with a seam. This is the children's room in most weeks — low shelves, a box of things previous families left behind and we kept, and the nearest door to the bathroom.

A double under the roof, up a steep flight. Hot in July, and the one room we discount for.
