January and February are quiet and the house does better full at $185 than empty at $265.
Between the fifth of January and the twentieth of March the rate is $185 a night with a two-night minimum. Nothing about the house changes. The garden is bare, the porch is cold, and the fig tree is a stick.
What you get for the lower figure is a warm house in a quiet month, a fire that works off a switch, and the whole city at winter prices. It is our favourite time here and the hardest week to sell.
